The answer to your questions is: compromise. To remain as fit as you are right now you would have to keep doing the same workout you just finished. Without adding weight or reps to the exercises. But that’s not an option for most of us. These extreme workout programs require one hour or even more, on a daily basis. Most of us don’t have that kind of free time, all year round. So you have to find a compromise and a balance.
You can do only a part of your workout program, and you’ll still maintain your results for a long period of time. Instead of doing the whole one hour routine, do half of it only.
This means you need to change the way you look at this workout program, you need to change your perception and include them in your daily program.
The natural way
Some prefer to go for a more active lifestyle. Include some running, swimming, or hobbies like hiking, backpacking, biking, basketball, soccer, etc. You will have fun and you will maintain your hard work results without it feeling like a chore. There are activities like yoga classes or pilates classes that can be very helpful in keeping you in shape and the weight off. Mini trampolines are another fun and effective way to keep your body in shape and rebounding has many additional health benefits.
Once a year boot camp
Or you could just lay back and enjoy life like you did before starting the workout program. And when you aren’t pleased with the way your body looks and feels and you decide you want to lose belly fat once again, go for another grueling 3 months P90X workout schedule. And then enjoy the good life for another 9 months or so. This is a valid approach, but it is by far the hardest one to implement. But if this fits you, go for it, it definitely works. The best weight loss program is the one that you can maintain year round and still enjoy and get results from. If you want to lose belly fat and be successful at keeping your new physique it is important to continue your healthy eating plan and a good workout program.
